Pain. Pain is a sign that our bodies show when there's something wrong with our organ system. When you get cut, kicked, punched, or even burned you will feel pain. Because the sensory nerves transmit the signal to the brain and the brain interprete it as a "pain".
Same if someone felt pain. The pain in nonphysical form that people got from so many things. Bad memories, sad events, or worse traumatic situations. We can felt that. And that's a sign that there's something wrong.
Then what will people do? Every people has different way to deal with "pain". Some will overcome it easily and get stronger, some will need longer time to deal with "pain" and finally enjoy the "pain" as the part of their lives, and some may need a very long time to deal with "pain". They even need to change their appearance, their behaviour and their habits to make them stronger and deal with the "pain". And sadly the rest of people can't deal with "pain". These group may and up with depression or even lose their sanity because they can't handle the pain that they suffered.
We can't avoid "pain", but we can choose which way we are gonna use to handle our "pains".
